Kivonat: | Two major transitions to coal and from coal to oil have paved the way for today’s emerging RET and the minimization of impact we have in biodiversity. This has shaped world-wide policy and legislation and lead to development of technology that make proper use of resources. The transition to a low carbon economy will direct the world into a new age of sustainability and stability. The work done in this dissertation aims to centralize information on EU legislation regarding the promotion support and implementation of renewable energz technology as well as further development. For this purpose, European Commission has established European Technology Platform to bring together technological know-how, industry, regulators and financial institutions that could enable to develop new leading renewable energy technologies. In the main branches of renewable energy: solar, wind, biomass, geothermal and ocean/tidal there have been major developments in the last decades, work here has detailed and analyzed potential, implementation and impact of deployment within the EU of renewable energy technology. The creation of green jobs and emergence of new fields of study has had a significant impact on EU economy and policy driven by international treaties and legislation to enhance the renewable technological process. |
