| 520 | 3 | |a Wedding Tourism or more precisely: wedding destinations, as an iconic and emerging part of the tourism industry, are attractions that have become popular in recent times and are increasingly popular, especially in the case of islands and heritage properties that are strongly dependent on the tourism industry as a profitable business market in India. Weddings in India are the most talked about. Indian weddings are loved all over the world for preserving sanctity and fanfare. Not just that so many couples both Indians and foreigners choose to marry in India because of the many attributes of this land, the serenity of nature, the royalty of kings, the beauty of the sea, the wonder of taste. The aim is to present India as a dream wedding travel destination to attract couples to embrace their weddings and vacations in the country. India has the potential to emerge as an international wedding tourist hotspot. While accurate statistics and figures for this tourism sector in India are harder to identify, and we cannot ignore this segment. The purpose of this study was to explore different motivating factors that influence wedding destinations. This paper is an effort to explain the idea of wedding tourism. The paper also discusses the possible explanations for the growing success and role of wedding tourism in the future. The scope of wedding tourism in India is also being explored. A broad range of tourism products, including current and emerging tourism trends, including Heritage & Cultural and Wedding, has been a key attraction for both domestic and international tourists in India. Traditional concepts of culture and heritage, religious and nature-based tourism are still at the core of India's inbound tourism environment. The country is well known for its exclusive products, which also come at very affordable prices. | |
