There were two questionnaires analyzed in the study, the first one being filled out by consumers and the second one by slow fashion businesses helped to have a better understanding of the discussed country’s clothing consumption habits, from different points of views. Based on the received data, it can be stated that the current Hungarian consumption society prefers to consume fast fashion clothing, mainly because it offers affordable prices and it is easily attainable for everyone. However, majority of the participants were used to buying fast fashion, it seems that after they were informed about the harms that the fast fashion industry causes to the planet most of them became open to change their shopping habits to be more sustainable and conscious about what and how much they consume. Going forward, many of the participants stated that they are going to be aiming to purchase less fast fashion pieces and start supporting slow fashion brands and second-hand businesses. The second questionnaire that was filled out by these kinds of brands and businesses showed some promising data about the future. According to the received answers the number of those people who consume sustainably is growing, however, the rate of growth is slow.
