Description
Abstract:In this research work I will cover a significance of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the economies of South Caucasian countries in the context of globalization. To get a clear image about the region and to give an appropriate analytical overview, I will approach to the topic from  theoretical side of the problem, as well as practical. The reason of choosing particularly South Caucasus, or in another word Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia as a geographical unite is great perspectives and rising international importance. But if we look to the region from the bigger window, we will see instable, dynamic changes in all areas of these states, included economy, also there are some challenges in attraction of FDI and participation to the global value chain. The aim of the work is to theoretically support the need to emphasize the good and negative socioeconomic consequences of foreign investment, as well as proposals for state policy development to maximize advantages for developing nations from multinational corporations activity.
