Description
Abstract:The COVID-19 pandemic has shattered the entire hospitality industry on a global level, which is still struggling with recovering from it. Budapest was not an exception either; catering establishments and customers both have had to adapt to the changed circumstances. This resulted in an enormous reshaping of the entire industry, highlighting the importance of quick reactions from the part of restaurants and that of the “right” of choice from the part of customers. In my thesis, I present their reactions and behavior regarding – among other things – home delivery, subsidies from the Hungarian government, innovative solutions, and ideas to mitigate the damages and altered eating habits. Global trends, the measures and situation of Europe are also mentioned.
