Kivonat:The aim of the dissertation is to show what kind of new methods would a meat wholesaler company,  Hungaro-Tak Zrt. introduce in order to facilitate the operation of butcher shops, and how would the different features of the application, namely HungaroApp, enrich the inventory and procurement processes of meat retailer companies. The hypothesis is formulated based on this knowledge and further information is gained through literature reviews and interviews. Throughout the paper, a clear understanding of the procurement concept and its process is established. Then, the inventory management process is studied, as  well as the differences between the B2B and B2C companies. In order to know the meat markets’ characteristics at the time the thesis is written, the market affected by the COVID-19 is also introduced. Since it is crucial to understand the process of inventory management, it can be read in general, and a deeper insight is also given to the reader by presenting the differences between the traditional and digital inventory management methods. Furthermore, the main traits of Hungaro-Tak Zrt. are defined, including the center of the thesis, the HungaroApp. Last but not least, the interviews conducted with butcher shops are described, while giving a feedback about their opinions on the digital inventory management and procurement application.
