Kivonat:The COVID-19 epidemic situations and the trends that preceded have had a huge impact in the event organization sector. Most of the negative consequences can be seen in the organization of international events, However events destined for the domestic market can also see a huge droput due to the COVID-19. This viral situation has changed our daily lives and also shaped the needs of the market. In my dissertation, I seek answers to the following hypotheses: People in Hungary under the age of 25 are more interested in online/virtual events, than the older age group and attending online/virtual events is much more common among people under the age of 25 than among those who are over the age of 25. The survey was conducted in the spring of 2021 in the form of an online questionnaire. My claims have been confirmed. I accepted both of my hypotheses thanks to the result of the online survey. It has also shown that online/virtual events are not a substitute for all types of events, and most of the people see online event types as a kind of alternative option as long as the situation requires it. One thing is certain the event industry is no longer will be the same and new hybrid event trends are getting space and online presence will be essential in the future.
