| 520 | 3 | |a In recent years, the popularity of music festivals has undeniably increased. People are willing to travel and spend more money on experiencing the most unique events all around the world. However, these rapid changes require innovation and improvement of all fields of music festivals. The aim of this paper is to examine the advantages and disadvantages of one of the largest Hungarian music festivals, Balaton Sound, and on what fields it can improve on. The main issues that this paper focuses on are location, price, performers, and other activities. It also surveys the question of sustainability, being one of the main concerns in recent years.This paper heavily relies on festivalgoers and their opinion on different aspects of the festival, therefore the main research methodology is a questionnaire, where the study found a deeper understanding of the reputation and the respondents' experiences with Balaton Sound. In the end, the research has found the main concerns and problems in relation to Balaton Sound and suggested different solutions such as alternative accommodation possibilities, headliner suggestions, and new types of ticket discounts for price-sensitive festivalgoers. | |
