520 3 |a This research indicates the importance of the dining experience, especially the memorable dining experience. This study aimed to explore what are the most crucial needs and expectations of the restaurant guests. The majority of the findings are significant for the literature study and helped in answering the research questions. Each guest can have individual need and expectation from the restaurant, however these individual needs and expectation can be easily fulfilled by the restaurant staff. The key here is the right communication, if the server handles the guest nicely and patiently, then the guest will be also nice and patient to the server. Afterwards, the server can easily fulfill any small requests from the guests. From the result of the questionnaire and the interview, it can be stated that guests do not have enormous expectations from the restaurant. They have a simple, easily solvable needs and expectations, just the right words and right acts is needed to fulfill it. Additionally, the literature review gives a comprehensive description about the restaurant experience, and the specific parts of the restaurant experience. It gives a deeper understanding of the memorable dining experience and how significant it is. The questionnaire conducted with Hungarian guests provides a broader explanation about the restaurant dining experiences in overall. Deep interviews conducted with six different restaurant guests help to understand those individual needs and expectations. Moreover, it emphasizes the importance of feeling good at a restaurant, spending a great time with family and friends, and collecting memories. Memories are significant and restaurants should consider that they are not in charge only to prepare delicious foods for the guests, but also, they are in charge to gift a memorable dining experience to the guests. As a sum, this research could find answers for the researcher questions and could demonstrate the significance of memorable restaurant dining thanks to the respondents of the questionnaire and the six participants of the interview.
