The index of GVC participation in the logistics industry in China and typical OECD countries is calculated and the trend of these indicators is analyzed. The final result is that the GVC participation rate in China's logistics industry has generally maintained an upward trend from 2005 to 2018. The size of the GVC participation index of the national logistics industry is not directly related to the comprehensive national power of the country. By accelerating the transformation and development of the logistics industry, vigorously developing China's port shipping business, improving the structure of China's trade imports and exports, and increasing the number of road transport vehicles, China's logistics industry in the global value chain and international competitiveness will be effectively enhanced.
