Kivonat:In today’s rapidly evolving world, constantly changing environments and socio-economic circumstances have led to a society prone to individualism. This phenomenon is also present in the involvement of the tourism industry. Solo travel has emerged as a popular tendency amongst women in the last few years. However, it is not such a new concept as one might think. With changes come great risks. This study delves into the risk perceptions and management strategies of these enthusiastic solo women travellers. The aim of the paper is to unveil the unique issues women have to face during their solo holidays and to provide a safer travel environment based on the research results. By examining the online blogging platforms and their authors, the paper investigates personal experiences, safety concerns, cultural and social factors, and other elements which could shape women’s travel decisions and mitigation strategies. This research hopes to provide a valuable information source for tourism businesses who seek to investigate this group of travellers to provide a more joyful experience for them. Furthermore, to empower women to embark on journeys they never thought were possible.
