Kivonat:It is becoming increasingly clear that climate change poses a severe threat to tourism, which necessitates the adaptation of both the tourism industry and tourists. This study investigated the effects of climate change on the Balaton region's leisure tourism and aimed to determine whether or not visitors and businesses are aware of the changes brought about by climate change. The tourists' willingness to adapt and their attitude toward climate change were assessed through an online survey, while data from the tourism industry was gathered through interviews. The study found that both parties experience strong changes in the weather, which causes inconveniences for the tourists and causes the seasonality to shift. The study further revealed that people are aware of the severity of climate change, and while businesses try to adapt to the changes, tourists still do not modify their habits and behaviors.
