| Kivonat: | My thesis aims to explore the application of Lean philosophy and methods to the road freight transporting sector using three companies as a part of a case study. By investigating the situations and the unique challenges these companies face my thesis intends to provide lean solutions to apply to the road freight transport industry to increase efficiency and competitive advantage of transportation companies. Through detailed analysis my thesis seeks to not only shine a light on the versatility of Lean philosophy, but on the possible improvements in operational efficiency and customer satisfaction within the industry. |
