Kivonat:This thesis comprises an investigation of fact-finding journalism and its challenges concerning media ethics. It begins with a short introduction where I discuss why I chose this topic and how I am planning to discuss the research questions in the following paragraphs. Then it is followed by the literature review, which I divided into two sections: a theoretical framework and an analytical part, about the Hungarian media landscape in a nutshell. In my research, I talk about how media ethical principles are applied in practice, and for this, I choose in-depth interviews within the qualitative methods, which can shed light on many interesting things. This thesis proved to be complex, in a way that investigative journalism encompasses a very broad concept, with lots of directions.
