Kivonat:Communication is a global phenomenon. For many, it comes naturally, yet it presents significant challenges for others, who rely on various therapies to overcome these barriers. My thesis examines equestrian sport and equine therapy in Hungary, particularly focusing on therapeutic riding for children with disabilities. This study explores the effects of horse interaction on both verbal and non-verbal communication among these children, assessing their societal integration. Insights from interviews and research aim to understand therapeutic riding's impact on communication issues and behavioral challenges faced by children with disabilities. The goal is to uncover the potential and effectiveness of equine therapy in enhancing communication skills in this group. My findings show that equine therapy proves to be an effective intervention for improving communication and aiding social integration among children with disabilities, offering substantial benefits in their development and daily interactions.
