As the world begins to recover, FDI is becoming more important for Vietnam’s economic growth, job creation, and development. The goal of this research is to explore both the opportunities and challenges Vietnam faces in attracting more foreign investment and maintaining strong, stable economic growth.Vietnam has been a popular choice for foreign investors for many years because of its stable government, good location in Asia, low labor costs, and friendly policies for businesses. Although the pandemic caused major problems for global trade and investment, Vietnam responded quickly and effectively with health and economic policies. Because of this, many companies now see Vietnam as a reliable place to invest. This thesis points out new opportunities for FDI in Vietnam. Some of the most promising areas include manufacturing and processing, real estate and infrastructure, and renewable energy. As more companies try to reduce their dependence on China, many are looking at Vietnam as a good second option to set up their factories and offices. In addition, the Vietnamese government has made efforts to improve its business environment by making laws clearer for foreign investors. Still, Vietnam faces some challenges that might make investors think twice. These include slow government processes, weak infrastructure in some areas, not enough highly skilled workers, and worries about how laws are enforced. Some foreign companies are also concerned about rising labor costs and the environmental effects of doing business in Vietnam. To carry out this study, I used data from government reports, economic studies, and international sources and recent FDI trends. I looked at both the big picture and specific industries to understand how Vietnam is doing and where it can improve. In summary, Vietnam has many good chances to attract more foreign investment after the pandemic, especially in modern and sustainable industries. However, to take full advantage of these opportunities, the country needs to fix certain issues like improving infrastructure, training workers, and making government systems more efficient. The results of this thesis can help leaders, investors, and researchers think about what Vietnam should focus on to grow its economy and stay competitive in the global market. | |
