Kivonat:The thesis focuses on Artificer Hungary Ltd., a micro-sized company active in the commercial ice market, which wishes to explore its expansion opportunities. The research will cover the basis of commercial ice, a thorough market analysis using Porter’s 5-forces model, an introduction to Artificer’s internal processes and its financial state, a theoretical review of the possible expansion strategies alongside the framework introduced by H. I. Ansoff, then an evaluation system for the mentioned strategies will be introduced, which will help in choosing one or multiple strategic lanes and would allow to further elaborate on actionable strategic recommendations.The topic of the thesis is very relatable, as I am one of the co-founders of Artificer Hungary Ltd., and me and my cofounders always exploring new ways to grow the business, but we are unsure of whether or not it is the right time to try out different strategies. By completing a systematic research on the topic as my thesis would allow us to evaluate our strategic options, which we have already been talking about, but have not really elaborated on them in any formal, written way.
