Abstract: | The primary focus of this paper is on thermal tourism in terms of the impact aging generation has had on Hungarian thermal tourism in the last decade. Seniors, mainly affected by diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, high blood pressure, musculoskeletal disorders, and issues concerning invasive intervention, which creates a great demand for traveling for such purposes. Moreover, the kind of support or background tools does tourism as accommodation provides and how health tourism serves the given needs together use the full range of tourism/hospitality services. In this paper, it is discussed if there is a visibly increasing tendency in the numbers of those older adults visiting thermal facilities in Hungary in the last decade. In addition, if people are willing to travel long distances to receive the necessary treatment performed on them and if most of those who receive treatment belong to an aging society or not. The primary source of information is gathered from two in-depth interviews since two highly qualified persons in such a field could give insight to more profound levels that are not reachable with quantitative techniques. |
