Kivonat:This research empirically examines the success variables for small and medium-sized enterprises. Specifically, this article aims to determine whether company age, human resource expenses, debt, venture capital investments, infrastructure, governmental interference, taxation, good customer communication channel, and productivity are success determinants for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). On a data set of 123 Hungarian SMEs, the impacts were examined using an ordinary linear regression model. The findings indicate that human resource expenses, infrastructural development, globalization, governmental involvement, and SME investments have a favourable effect on business performance.
