| Kivonat: | In this article, the author explores \"Dutch disease\", studying the history of its occurrence and the importance of the phenomenon. Real cases are studied, using the examples of the economies of different countries, where it was successful, and where it turned into failure. The author reveals the main causes of \"Dutch disease\" as well as the main signs of its manifestation. In order to answer the research question: are there symptoms of \"Dutch disease\" in the Russian economy The author, on the basis of the studied cases, as well as already existing theories about \"Dutch disease\", highlights the main symptoms of this phenomenon. After it the diagnostics of the Russian economy for the presence of \"Dutch disease\" is carried out by collecting, analyzing and calculating statistical data on the main macroeconomic indicators of the country. In this way, the main symptoms of \"Dutch disease\" in the Russian economy were confirmed or refuted. The author made the following conclusion since most of the symptoms of \"Dutch disease\" were confirmed, it is most likely that this indicates the presence of this phenomenon in the study country. In addition, the author expresses his own opinion and assesses the dependence of the Russian economy on energy resources. |
