Description
Abstract:In this thesis I use primary source to examine the sustainable production trough companies, especially beauty companies. I chose Procter & Gamble and a rival company, L’Oreal to see how sustainability effects these companies. In this primary source I interviewed two people who works at these companies. In these personal interviews, we explore the company's motivations, views, attitudes, and feelings regarding sustainability.First of all, I will introduce sustainability itself. It is a complex topic. What does sustainability even mean? How can we measure it or how can we say what is sustainable and what is not? We will see sustainability trough beauty companies and then we will examine Hungary too. Then we move on to Corporate Social Responsibility (CRS). Next you can learn about the two companies, first the Procter &Gamble and then L’Oreal. How they change things to be more sustainable and also how does this effect the companies. For each company there is a deep interview too, to get an inside look.At the end you can read about the main question: “Does sustainable production lead to higher profitability?” and some suggestions how companies should try to be more sustainable.
