Description
Abstract:This paper deals with the nature of the logistics of indirect materials using the example of the Hungarian pharmaceutical company Gedeon Richter Plc. The management of indirect materials involves both internal and outbound logistics operations, the effective management of which is key to the operation and success of the company. From the receipt of goods, storage and inventory management to the issue and transportation of materials, these are the main processes involved. The optimal functioning and improvement of these activities can be monitored using KPIs, which are an essential tool for optimising performance. This paper therefore also examines the most important KPIs that are relevant to the performance of a pharmaceutical company.
